I've been riding on the new road wheels for about two months now and am extremely happy with them. I've been using them on my regular commute to work (a 60km return trip) two or three times a week, so I think they've been getting a suitably good workout. I've had absolutely no issues with the wheels. They inspire confidence.

I also wanted to say thanks for matching the custom build of the wheels so well to my needs. It's just great to see that the individual needs/wants that I described to you have come through so well in the parts package that you pulled together for me. For the primary purpose I want to use them (a road-based commute to work, not racing), the wheels are an excellent balance of strength, weight and cost. The extra width of the rims, relative to my old wheels, are proving a great bonus is sucking up some of the bumps, potholes and gutters that I inevitably come across in my commute. I've already hit a few unavoidable potholes in the time I've had the wheels and there has been no impact on the rims or wheel alignment.

Equally, I haven't had to sacrifice weight or rolling resistance to get that extra strength and durability. These new wheels are lighter, stronger, stiffer and roll faster than my old Mavics. I couldn't be happier with the package. Thanks Greg.

Just a short note to say your wheels came midweek and I had my first ride on them today,

They are every bit as good as I imagined they would be, thankyou for building a beautiful set of wheels for me.

Plenty of boys round here with flash bikes but I got the TWE flash wheels eh!!

Ony had a short ride this morning. Wheels feel strong and roll real fast. Good job!

Fully built up with road tyres (28s) and Ultegra cassette they saved nearly 900gr over prev slick shod MTB wheelset!! That's a big load of rotating mass.

Thanks for the bottles. Finally got a chance to go for a decent ride - the weather has been terrible. Very impressed, I've not had decent wheels before, they make a huge difference.

A belated note to advise that our track wheels arrived on Tuesday, in time for the National Junior Championships. They roll beautifully, and seemingly forever. Robert loves them. The package had taken a knock and the front wheel was out of true, and has simply been corrected at the local bike store.

We look forward to receiving the remaining pairs.

Hi Greg,

I've been riding a set of carbon road wheels you built up for me around 2 years ago and just spent 3 months racing them in Belgium including on the cobbles. Gotta say they performed beautifully. Only had to true them twice after racing through some stupidly rough corners and other than that they remain the best wheelset I've ever ridden... and that includes a set of 404s I was given to ride last year.. they felt average in comparison! I attached a few good shots of them in action you might be interested in.

Just some feedback on the SLR 30s...Awesome wheels!!

Done about 600km on them now, including the 104km Collie to Donnybrook and return classic 2 weekends ago.

Performance is exactly as described. Super light, super fast and super smooth. Love them! Also have the confidence that the alloy rims will stand up the knocks of day to day training rides.

Bonus in looking good on the bike too! (pic attached)

TWE wins again...

At the Noosa Triathlon last weekend Dan came 3^rd in the U19 category and 61^st overall (2500+ competitors) in under 2hrs 3 mins. It is fast enough to qualify him to race as an Open competitor, rather than as an age grouper at Mooloolaba and the other big tris. It’s a big advantage as the Opens start immediately after the Elites (who go first), in the cooler, still air and don’t have to reckon with so many other (often fairly unskilled) competitors. He also gets to race against better athletes, which is good for experience.

He reported that the bike was terrific (he used the word huge!). On the return leg he and a couple of other cyclists were going fast enough to attract an official escort to help them through slower riders. He’s now scheming how he can get on a time trial bike. The bike has attracted attention and you may get enquiries from at least one of his club mates.

Yeah, picked up the wheels on Friday at Cranks as arranged, no problem. I've been for a few rides on them now and find them to be light, stiff and fast. Overall I'm very happy, they look great and set the bike off perfectly. Everything I wanted.

Seasons greetings and all that. Thought I would send good wishes along with a wheel update.

Put them on the bike on Tuesday after rolling on the DT Swiss R1700's for a couple of months. I thought the DT's felt a little stiffer when I first put them on, but I have subsequently discovered just how good a wheelset the TWE's are. The sensation I noticed related more to the more solid feel associated with reluctance to turn due to centrifugal force. The TWE's are at least as stiff a wheel as the DT's and roll and spin up so much better. I hammered out a KOM climb on the first ride with them and reclaimed top spot by over 4 seconds.

Before deciding to get some wheels built I took the time to read through some of your feed back and its all true - beautiful, smooth rolling, light hoops. I lost over 500 grams per wheel with the set you built me for my 29er and having just done a couple of laps of the Newcastle MTB cross country course near Awaba, I couldn't be happier. However, Its not the wheels I really wanted to praise, it was the service. Having someone give an honest opinion of what I needed and suited me and then to have them built within two days in the week before Christmas is phenomenal and well beyond what I though would have occurred. I can't recommend TWE highly enough. It wont be long before I'm back to give the roadie the TWE treatment.

Hey Greg,
I'm just emailing you to let you know how good your carbon racing wheels are! I haven't had my first race of the season yet but I'll let you know how I go afterwards. I've added another 3-4Km/hr on my average speed with your wheels and my sprint speed is 4-6Km/hr faster!! And in training I am unbeatable in the climbs! The wheels are sooo light and roll so smoothly I can accelerate faster than anyone else and noone so far can lose me off their wheel or counter my attacks in the climbs.
